DAY 23

"I wanted to devise a wholesome, constructive activity that would foster a closer father-son relationship and promote craftsmanship and good sportsmanship through competition."

-Don Murphy, Founder of the Pinewood Derby in 1953 Manhattan Beach, CA Cub Scout Pack 280C

This was Connor's 2nd pinewood derby that he has participated in. He didn't do as well as he had hoped, but made it much longer than last year and had a fun time until he lost. His car was the patriotic car that the boys chanted "U.S.A." to as it went down the track. He was in charge of car design, color scheme, final sanding, and detailing. If you look closely you'll notice that he also used legos in the design. He has a lego guy, steering wheel, windshield, and super charger. He's already making plans for next year's car. We'll just have to wait and see what he comes up with.

  1. It was a pretty cool car. Wish we could have seen the whole race, but all the kids crashed as soon as we came home. So... it was good that we left when we did.

  2. That sounded like fun. Connor your car is really cool.:)
