DAY 116

"The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad." -A.K. Best

Connor caught this 22 1/2 inch walleye all by himself. It was the largest walleye all week. Hans wanted me to mention that he got skunked. (Photos by Haldan)

  1. I'm glad that your week went so well last week. I think that it is good to have the boy and girl one on one time now and then.

Good luck with the school thing. I have heard some nasty stuff about Taft Middle School if it makes you feel any better. I really think that the type of friends really make a differance. It will be that way the reast of our children's lives. I think that the best thing we can do is to continue to each correct principles, help them understand concequences, and let them choose. I fear for my chilren and the things that they will have to deal with, but it is their generation.

For a time I feard having children because of the challenges they would face. Now I just hope that they will be as stuborn about keeping the commandments and making good choices as they are with me at times.
