DAY 338

"And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn." Luke 2:7

Tonight I helped out at our community Creche for a couple hours. They had nativities set up from all over the world and they had a children's room where the children could dress up and do crafts. Little Man wanted nothing to do with this and Pokey was upset because she wanted to be the angel. (Brooke Jarbo is the angel that looks like she is levitating in the photo.) In order to get smiles I had to bribe both of my kids with some chocolate pie and they still look very ungenuine. (I'll be judged later.) Little Man seems to be "too old" for many things lately. Ah, The joys of 10 year old boys.

The pie mentioned earlier (as the bribe) is thanks to Haldan who brought it home as a "cheer up" gesture today. I think I'm just in a "funk" right now as my sister calls it. Hopefully it isn't a funk that lasts til spring.

  1. oh my gosh, we are in a POTD!! that is a super cute pic! hope your "funk" ends soon, i'm in one myself....totally stinks! at least you look good when you're in one, my looks (any that i have) got to the pot!

  2. haha. This will go in a collection of unhappy Christmas Pageant photos!! I love looking back at ours. There is always someone with a sad face or mad face. I either insisted on being Jesus when I was too old, or Mary when I was too young. They aren't pictures you frame, but pictures you look back and laugh at. :)

  3. At least Conner did pose. We were there today and I couldn't do anything to get Curtis to pose with us. He's only 8 1/2 and "too cool" for us.

  4. I like this pic, I wish I had one of my kiddos like this! :) I want some chocolate pie! haha my sugar fix tonight (not that I didn't really comb the house--I really did) was a peppermint. hahaha!
