I am trying out Pixel Perfect's before & after blog hop today. Stop over and link up.It only took 7 years to figure our cloning in photoshop. And truth be told, I totally dumbed into it one day when my laptop was wigging out. It’s the coolest tool I’ve yet to play with. Granted, I’m sure there are way cooler out there and I am in no form any photoshop expert. What I am is an amateur trying to muddle my way to finer photos, just like the rest of you.
This is not a tutorial because there’s not really much to say besides push the alt then the clone button and go to town.
But I thought I’d share some of my more recent attempts with the clone tool. See if you can figure out what I removed in each photo?

ReplyDeleteI see a snowmobile track (or a horzontal line from something else) missing from the first one.
The second one has a retaining wall cloned out, the third one has the lines in the driveway gone, and the last one has 'things' (what would you call that?) off the dandelion.

ReplyDeleteYou are such a talented photographer!!! I LOVE me some photoshop!!! I used to totally over edit EVERYTHING!!!! Now I just use it to enhance and clone things out! Great job Alicia! I found what was missing in each photo.

I love the dandelion one, it really looks fuller and whiter in the after.. I'm still confused on exactly what the clone does but I'll figure it out one day I'm sure!

Correct you are, the clone tool is great. Spot heal is great too. I hear the new version, CS5, can do magic by removing junk just by thinking it out! Well, I guess not *that* easy but I hear it is good.

ReplyDeleteYou can tell that I'm in So California. I didnt' know what the line in the snow was..of course a snow mobile. Our snow is in the mountains and most land in Cali isn't flat.
