Gigi at Kludgymom is the brains behind this brilliant idea. Please stop by and give her some love. She's got some great FFOs to read. No one does it quite like her.
So, without further ado, let's begin this VIRTUAL DETOX. Ahem...
To those pesky weeds that think they have taken up permanent residence in our yard… we have purchased a giant tub of weed kryptonite and you had better start packing your bags now… Oh, and Flip off!
To TruGreen lawn care… we pay you too much money to kill our yard. You had better fix this crap job and fast ‘cause it ain’t getting any prettier. Oh, and should it all die you are SOOO replacing this sod. Flip off!
To the guy in the bank that always gives me the stare down every single time I stop by… why don’t you get to work and keep your eyes where they belong. You know who you are. Flip Off.
To this dang humidity that is doing a number on my hair causing my locks to look less than stellar… Flip off!
To that giant nasty spider that has given me nightmares several times this week… know that the exterminator is on his way and you had better not even think twice about stepping within 3 feet of our home's perimeters for you shall surely see an awful fate. Flip Off!
To our tenants that have stopped making their meager payments and walked from our short sale contract… you may think that you can get away with living as freeloaders but if you thought that you have another thing coming. Don’t mess with me you dirt bags. Flip Off!
And lastly,
To our newly assigned underwriter that has asked us yet AGAIN to send the exact same information we’ve already sent 3 times. How many underwriters does it take to screw in a light bulb? I think by now you have enough personal data to write my biography. Quadruple Flips!! (One for every time we’ve had to send this ridiculously outlandish duplicated thick stack of crap. Learn to read why don’t ya.)
Wow. That never ceases to feel amazing. My husband thinks I'm getting more mean with each FFO, but I think he needs to be happy I'm getting it all out here and not taking it out on him.
Now it's YOUR turn. What is bugging you these days? If you are in need of a great vent, try Friday Flip-Offs. It's free and so therapeutic and you won't be sorry!
Make sure to visit Gigi at Kludgymom and Mis at Miel et Lait. And then join in our bloghop below. Let the fun begin!
I cannot believe your underwriter. You have GOT to be kidding. I am so sorry that this just is a never-ending nightmare. I'd be in a straightjacket by now.
ReplyDeleteyour husband reads your blog? :)
Wow that nail looks sore....Who is the other Gigi??
ReplyDeleteThis is unreal...
I added your button to my blog...
What a fantastic idea. I have to go out, but if I'm home when it's still Friday I'm going to see if I an work out the code and join the fun via my health blog - what a great destressor! Have also been over to Klugymom. Many thanks.
ReplyDeleteI have my post ready to go and will be posting shortly!
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the weeds - they spread like, well, weeds! They're a pain in the arse, I'm telling you!
You need to get a picture of the guy at the bank so we can check him out! But you're so beautiful, how could he NOT check you out?!
And last but not least, I feel for you with your underwriter. We had a flood in March and still haven't gotten the repairs made because insurance keeps asking us for the exact same info, and then promptly looses it. It sucks. I send you hugs.
Oh my goodness! This is a very good venting session I must say! I hope that spider heard you;)
ReplyDeleteYea for new blogger buddies! I'm your newest follower too;) Happy to meet you!
ReplyDeleteha! what a great post:)
ReplyDeleteTo get your photo to have the same vintage look as mine (in my pink hydrangea post today) just download the texture images from the links on the post, layer them on your image, adjust stransparency to around 70% to 80% sometimes I use a transparency brush and brush away the filter a tad more on the focal point and you're done!
Thanks for visiting my blog today :)
Somehow, I'm struggling with the thought of your locks ever looking less than stellar. Kissing a fish, on a boat, your hair looked fab. How can a lil humidity give you a bad hair day?
ReplyDeleteGreat flip-offs! Hope the release helps you have a great weekend!
I'm new to your blog and love your Friday flip offs! I laughed when I read them and think it's fabulous idea! I never say that kind of stuff to anyone so I may just have to try one! I don't think I'm quite brave enough yet but I loved reading yours : )
ReplyDeleteugh...I can totally relate to the humidity. Hello?? It's not even the mid-summer yet and it's like suffocating already. But sounds like you had quite a stressful week. Hopefully you can enjoy your weekend a little bit more now that you've got it all off of your chest. :)
ReplyDeleteWe used TruGreen for a while as well and had the same results. We ended up switching. TGIF!
ReplyDeleteWow, I love it! Love the spider comment too as I posted about spiders last week. Hate them.
ReplyDeleteThis is so awesome. I'm new to your blog, and I just love it!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat is scary about your underwriter issue is that he has all that personal information he keeps misplacing. Is he selling it to people who specialize in identity theft? I think if you feed him to your spider and then whack the spider and bury him in your yard, you might solve the sod issue. Sounds like he is full of sh*t and may actually improve the vitality of your grass.
ReplyDeleteOh, no. That's a lot of aggravation! I can't believe your short sale tenets are doing that to you.
ReplyDeleteWow - have you ever done a quadruple flip before?
ReplyDeleteOK help, what am I doing wrong? I've added a post to my blog and the code, but don't seem to be able to join in - have sent a note to Linky about it as wondering if it's me - I might not be entering the right things in the two spaces. I'm wondering though as I'm surprised the list still only stands at 2 - maybe there's a problem?
ReplyDeleteFound you through FFO - and i'm so with you on humidity. Although i'll take humidity over cold weather - and right now we're coming into winter here in Oz so guess whats getting my FFO next week?
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of aggravation! Sounds like the quadruple flip was called for.
ReplyDelete"the quadruple flip" HAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I found the FFO. MAN, I felt like a new woman.
So new reader. Your blog is great and you're gorgeous!
I have a surprise for you in today's post. Stop by and check it out: http://bit.ly/awNBv4
ReplyDeleteGet out of here, with this bad hair day business! Pics or it isn't true HAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteAre you sure he's an underwriter....not an undertaker??
