And wonder what you did so wrong to create such monsters.
That you want to hide away for all time.
Have I ever mentioned that Little Man and Pokey are exceptionally reminiscent of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde?
As much as I'd like to lie and tell you that I have engineered perfect children, I'm afraid I can't.
We are back to the grind in the Rasmussen household. Hubs is working 12 hour days and the kids are back to their old selves... Little Man torments to no end, Pokey whines, Little Man is relentless, Pokey gets hurt, then the cycle repeats infinite amount of time.
Sigh.
So, today as a form of punishment they had to sit and apologize.
Easy enough. Right?

But I'm determined to have a good day regardless. We currently have smiles. Wish me luck on my mission. I'm a little tired.
I think your kids are pretty dang cute! Those photos are priceless. And I can relate to hubby working 12 hour days. Never easy times for the family.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! That's a great series of photos. They might not be the best pictures, but it's a sweet way to remember the moment. Especially the last one where they finally did make up and smile!
ReplyDeleteThe series is great - I remember when my mom made me and my brother or me and my sister apologize...it looked a lot like this. Good luck with having a good day!
ReplyDeleteI love the progression, and since I have a boy and a girl I can picture it right in my own living room! Love the smiles at the end....even with my son being 16 and my daughter almost 12, if I make them "make nice" I always get giggles and smiles in the end, no matter how angry they were!
ReplyDeleteHope you have had an awesome day, Alicia! Those are some really cute kids!
ReplyDeleteit is super cute...the fact that less than 50% are violent means you are ahead of me in this department!
ReplyDeleteYour kids are so cute! And you know, I saw an awful lot of smiles in those pictures. You should see my boys brawl it out. I tell ya, there's a whole lot more crying going on. They're brutal to each other!
ReplyDeleteI am really really really going to try and remember to jump on Tasty Tuesday's this week. Every week I think about it, and every week I seem to drop the ball. I WILL remember this week!
Have a great rest of the weekend!
Our journey has begun!… secretly though
ReplyDeleteIf I’ve left you this message, you’re a follower of my original blog ~OR~ just someone I’ve happened upon while sending out these invites and that I would LOVE for to come along for the ride! Though I won’t be revealing who I am just yet – until we’re TO and THROUGH the first trimester! Just getting the word out about our new site – further explanation of all the secrecy and what we’re about on my first post. I’d love for you to stop by.
Exciting things going on around here!

I love how they alternate between anger, what appears to be whining, fighting, and smiles.
ReplyDeleteAin't that typical?
Wow, even when they fight, your kids are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love that during that entire "apology" you were just snapping away photos! Classic! ;)
ReplyDeleteThe second picture is adorable! Good luck with the kids. They'll be back to school in no time & you'll miss them.
ReplyDeleteI love these pictures, they look like my kids. by the way I like your background music
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious. I know exactly what those moments are like and you have to admit it's kind of fun to sit back and watch. I love it when they go from arguing to giggling to crying to hugging to smiling. I'm going to grab my camera next time my LO's break into this...which will likely be as soon as they wake up ;)
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I are close in age, and I'm sure my mom was similarly exasperated. :) Keep smiling!
ReplyDeletethere is a reason kids are so cute. Otherwise, we may kill them. love the progession. this is how siblings are and yes, it's annoying to listen to. lol the saying, "it's all fun and games until someone cries." is so true.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! I love how the process of apologizing becomes another disagreement LOL. Oh the joys, I remember doing that same stuff with my brother and driving my mom crazy too LOL!
ReplyDeleteIf that doesn't tell the story of siblings I don't know what else would. It is funny to us, but I know how you feel in the midst of all of this!!! I do wish you luck!
ReplyDeleteEven the rejects are awesome!! Your kids are darling and VERY patient. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Lish! Your new camera rocks. I can totally see the difference in your photos. Awesome!
